SOFTBALL

STEFANIE SMITH

NZ National Team (White Sox)

I set up several Mental Performance Seminars with Dave for the top softball players and coaches within the Wider Auckland region this year.  Given I am still a softball player myself and on the NZ National Team (White Sox) where we will be competing soon in the ISF World Championships, I was happy to take as much information from Dave as possible!  Every seminar I came back with something new to think about or to bring into my game.  He is extremely motivating, engaging, and he really knows how to get you into the right mental space.  I can’t stress how great Dave is not only as a person, but as a mental performance coach.  He is very passionate about helping others and every session you have with him will help you in both your sport and in life.

Regional Development Officer

Softball New Zealand

Stefanie Smith, a former USA College Softball Player at California State University Long Beach, and  a current member of the Otahuhu Softball Premier Women’s team has been chosen to Represent the New Zealand White Sox National Team in the ISF World Championships in Surrey City Canada, July 2016.  Although the standard of softball and participation is growing for the sport within New Zealand, it is still a self-funded sport and each player on the White Sox has to contribute almost $5000 to wear the fern and represent New Zealand on the international stage.  The White Sox are currently 8th in the world and are pushing for a top 4 slot and ultimately a spot in the 2020 Olympics once softball gets brought back into the games.

Stefanie specializes as a catcher and has been named on Representative teams within New Zealand for the past 4 years, including Auckland this year who are reigning national Champions.  She has helped her club team gain tournament championships and has won tournament awards in the process including two Tournament MVP awards in the 2015/16 season.  She also gives back to the game and coaches youth players in addition to working as Regional Development Officer for Softball New Zealand.

Your support will take her to the World Champs where the White Sox will make NZ Softball Proud.
